I love mushrooms and use them in my cooking, but it seems like a lot of people don't like them. For anyone who isn't a big fan of mushrooms, I highly encourage you to try these. They are super crispy and tender compared to the soggy overcooked mushrooms most people don't like.
Tips and Tricks to Make Air Fryer Garlic Mushrooms
Think you’re all set and ready to give the recipe a try? You might want to keep these additional tips and tricks in mind to nail the recipe.
Feel free to try this recipe with other veggies! I often like to make a medley with 2-3 different kinds of vegetables. Mushrooms cook a lot faster that most vegetables, so make sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly. Not sure how to time everything you want to cook? Try cooking each vegetable separately. Toss them all together afterward to ensure no veggies are burnt or undercooked. Some great options to pair with the mushrooms are broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, and zucchini.
These mushrooms use a simple three-ingredient seasoning blend of garlic, salt, and pepper. My only tip is that this recipe calls for garlic powder, so be careful using fresh garlic as it might burn in the air fryer. Other than that, these air fried mushrooms can take on any flavor combination of your choosing!
Try a dried Italian seasoning blend or fresh herbs such as thyme and rosemary to make these mushrooms stand out. If you want a bit of a kick, toss some red chili flakes in the mix. You could also try topping them with finely grated parmesan cheese right after they come out of the fryer.
Serving Ideas and Suggestions
Eat these mushrooms as an appetizer, on top of a grilled steak, or added to a creamy fettuccini. This recipe is perfect for serving alongside some protein and a source of carbs for an easy, well-balanced meal. My favorite way to eat these mushrooms is paired with my easy One-Pan Balsamic Chicken, Meatloaf with Brown Gravy, or Grilled Chicken in Basil Sauce.
