This ultimate BLT dip is one of my favorite dips. You can easily make it low carb by using celery sticks instead of corn chips. Either way, you will still taste the excellent blend of flavors this provides and satisfies your snacking.
This recipe I found in one of my mom's boxes of recipes, and it reminded me of one that I had at a holiday celebration. I couldn't believe how long this recipe has been floating around. It was nice knowing that my mother also loved this recipe.
Thinking back, I believe the holiday celebration was the fourth of July, and by the time the fireworks started, the bowl was empty. The dip was such a huge hit.
Is this dip Keto-friendly?
Yes, if you use celery sticks and it will satisfy your taste buds. It has plenty of fat to keep you in ketosis. However, if you aren't, you will want to watch your portions.
Alternatives to Sour Cream?
You could also use greek yogurt or mayonnaise. Instead of using cream cheese and the sour cream, you could mash up a few avocados, which would allow you to make this Dairy-Free.
Is it that easy to make?
Yes, it takes under 10 minutes.
How long will BLT stay fresh?
In the fridge, it will stay fresh for 3 to 5 days. However, I wouldn't recommend saving the dip after being sat out for over 2 hours. Dairy products, such as cream cheeses, sour cream, milk, and more, can begin to grow bacteria after being left out for over two hours. If dip gets to a temperature above 40 degrees Fahrenheit for more than two hours, it is recommended to throw away per FoodSafety.gov.
The Ultimate BLT Dip
- Electric Mixer
- 8 oz Block of Cream Cheese Will want to wait till at room temperature
- 10 oz Sour Cream 1 ¼ cup
- 1 small Tomato diced
- 1 pkg Ranch Seasoning (2 Tablespoons)
- 2 oz Real Bacon Bits
- ¾ c Finely chopped lettuce Optional
- ¼ c Chopped green onions Optional
- Beat the cream cheese, sour cream, and ranch seasoning packet till creamy.
- Add in the bacon, tomatoes, and lettuce.
- Serve and enjoy!
