Sausage and Rice Skillet

- 6 Italian Sausages
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 tbsp garlic
- 1 ½ c instant white rice
- 2 c chicken broth
- ½ c yellow pepper diced
- ½ c red pepper diced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
- ½ tsp pepper to taste
- ½ tsp salt to taste
In a large skillet, add olive oil and sausage and saute for 10-12 minutes over medium heat or until sausage is cooked through.
Remove sausage and set aside (slice into small pieces when sausage has cooled)
Add onions, garlic, peppers, salt and pepper and everything bagel seasoning and saute for 6-8 minutes.
Add rice, chicken broth, cut sausage, and soy sauce to the skillet and mix together.
Cook covered for 5-10 minutes or until rice is done, all liquid should be absorbed.
Serve with a side of salad or fresh bread.
Sausage internal temperature should be 155–165°F (68–74°C).
